JOB DESCRIPTION:
•The Application Architect will be part of the Platform Architecture & Support group reporting in to the Manager of Application Architecture.
•The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership on best practices for architectural design, understand the .NET development standards, Identity Management strategy, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration.
•This person will lead architecture and design reviews for internal custom development projects that focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing & new enterprise implementations.
•This role requires a proven technical skill set that has been demonstrated in the development of enterprise Line of Business applications and their integration into heterogeneous enterprise systems.
•The Applications Architect will also be developing application platforms strategy and roadmaps, perform required R&D and provide recommendations to deliver industry standard solutions and services that meet Time Warner's business needs while ensuring a highly reliable and scalable application environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Design and enforce technical and architecture standards and guidelines for Microsoft development platforms.
•Architecting .NET solutions including Modeling, Integrating external services/applications, assist clients with business requirements for their solutions and create the appropriate information architecture and solution approach
•Development of SOA based architecture/applications, web/WCF services, and SAML solutions
•Manage & support internally hosted Identity Management system
•Assist application development team with IDM product integration
•Provide technical guidance to solution architecture, design and development for Systems Development team.
•Define best practices in the critical evaluation and selection of the software components
•Administer Team Foundation Server
•Promote strong combination of functional leadership, and technical expertise across the team.
•Must have project management skills and be able to manage multiple projects. Work in fast * paced, high-pressure environment.
•Adhere to the Change Management process and available for 3rd level production support.
•Responsible for technology and code reviews, identifying, recommending and implementing 3rd party products for desired solutions.
•Work and lead cross-functional teams in implementing business solutions.
•Such other duties as may be required by business needs
REQUIREMENTS:
•5+ years experience with .NET programming languages C#, VB.NET
•5+ years hands-on experience with database programming (SQL) with SQL Server, Oracle
•5+ years of intensive experience in the architecture, design, implementation and support of complex enterprise solutions
