Job Description

We are looking for an Oracle Technical Lead to join our Extreme Data practice which deals with application development involving large volume of data (Big Data) using new generation technologies like Hadoop and Exadata etc. This is a hands-on role that spans across all phases of application development starting from requirement gathering, architecture definition, design, and development. This position offers a large scope of variety and direct involvement with complex, innovative technology; as well as the opportunity to directly work with client team.

 

Here are some of the duties associated with this role:

 

•Requirement engineering

•Helping in Technical Solution evaluation and Recommendation

•Proof of concept execution and prototype creation

•Detailed design and development

•Functional Testing Performance Testing and Engineering

 

Desired Skills & Experience

6+ years of software development with at least 4+ years application development experience in Oracle preferably with 10g or 11g in the following areas:

-Data loading (sql loader/ external table)

-Complex query writing (analytical queries)

-experience in projects with large databases

•Experience/advance knowledge of Oracle features:

- Partitioning

- Index types and best practices for their usage

- Query optimization

- Project experience in working on very large databases

•Good oral and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to interact and work with cross-functional teams

•Ability to respond to production issues - identify root cause and quick resolution

•Experience in different flavors of Unix and Linux

•Good client interfacing skills
