Position: SQL Reporting Developer / Analysts Location: Baltimore, MD Rate: $45/hr Duration: 6 Months   Job Description:    Creating, modifying, and maintaining reports in SQL Server Reporting Services for every department within the company. This includes creating/modification of functions, views and stored procedures for company-wide changes in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Other responsibilities include ad hoc querying/reporting and meeting with stakeholders for requirement gathering.     Duties:   Write SQL queries. Use Visual Studio/BIDS to create reports. Use MS Excel to display data in a format usable by non-technical users. Use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Management Studio 2008 - SSIS, SSAS, SQL Profiler, in addition to Crystal Reports. Correspond with internal employees making requests for information. Attend meetings with employees and vendors about requests and reports. Perform schema changes in the database. Maintain code and reports on an ongoing basis. Document all reports. Additional responsibilities as assigned.   Qualifications:   Advanced technical knowledge in computer hardware and software. Technical skills including but not limited to: SQL, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio 2008, Crystal Reports, MS Office suite, Windows 7/Windows XP operating systems. Skills in coordinating activities, active listening, and monitoring performance.   Skills in general office software (ex: MS Office), email, spreadsheets, image editing, calendars, phone systems and more. Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc) with technical and non-technical staff. Ability to be versatile, multitask, and handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations. Ability to organize information, prioritize and have attention to detail and accurately follow procedures. Ability to maintain self motivation and to work independently and in team environments. Ability to troubleshoot and piece together conclusions and apply rules to produce answers that make sense. Ability to work with outside vendors and individuals in a professional manner.
