o Provides leadership, guidance and participate for JAVA/JEE design and development of a high performance transaction processing system by defining and developing detailed technical designs from business requirements.
o Guides the work of development team to ensure that implementation is done based on the detailed design
o Function as a domain expert and works closely with software developers to explain the application design, and coordinates activities between the two functions to enhance product quality and efficiency. Conducts cost analysis to determine feasibility of approaches.
o Oversee and develop test-plans development (including unit tests), integration and deployment
o Troubleshoot, fix, and test issues/defects - resulting from either the change control process or production activities Skills
o Provides on-going coaching, enabling team members to develop and improve skills and capabilities that support the effectiveness of the department/function.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the following is required:
o Excellent core J2SE 6 programming ability
o Object Oriented Design & Design Patterns
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Essential Tools/ technologies & frameworks: Eclipse, Java Server Faces, Facelets, Spring, Apache Trinidad
o Other Java community tools/frameworks such as JBPM
o Application/Portal server: Weblogic 10.x
o RDBMS: Oracle 10g
o J2EE design patterns and web services
o Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with internal and external audience and peers
Education:
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Information Technology (IT), or related discipline.
